228 Park has long been one of Taipei's best-known gay cruising parks. On a regular Thursday, it starts getting lively close to midnight. The busiest point is restroom No. 1 by Ketagalan Boulevard; with fewer passers-by, it is mostly used by the community at night. People gather outside and inside the restroom and around the nearby pavilions. On a regular weekday evening, around 20–30 people may be in the park, with more arriving throughout the night.
